Our Delivery Service

 

Delivery charges

Orders over £35 (ex VAT):  Free Delivery.

Orders under £35 (ex VAT): A small charge of £2.99 will apply.

Orders out of our delivery area: If a Carrier is used, depending on weight there may be an additional charge which will be quoted before despatch is made.

 

We aim to deliver the next day and do so on 75% of all in-stock orders. Due to matters outside our control, we cannot guarantee the delivery for the next day

 

Delivery arrangements

Subject to stock availability, orders received before 5pm on a weekday (excl. bank holidays) will be delivered within 24-48 hours. Orders placed on a Friday or over a weekend will be delivered on Tuesday. 

 

Office Furniture and ‘Special Order’ Items

Lead times and delivery dates for all manufactured products, including bespoke printed items and all office furniture, can be obtained from our customer services team upon receipt/placement of the order.

Any dates quoted for delivery of the products are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products that are out of our control. We try to ensure most furniture catalogue items get to you within 7-10 working days.

All our office furniture comes with FREE delivery options within a 40 mile radius of our distribution warehouse in Middleton (M24 1NN). Delivery and Installation outside this area will be POA.

Please refer to additional information on each product. All furniture and chair items will come flat packed or boxed if installation is not required.

 

Highlands and Islands

Deliveries to the Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands, and Northern Ireland may be subject to additional delivery charges and may not be delivered on a next working day basis. We are unable to deliver to the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.

 

Returns

Any shortages or items damaged in transit must be reported to our customer service department on the day of receipt of the goods and in writing within 3 days of receipt of the goods.

All returned products must be in saleable condition in their original carton with all packaging intact, unmarked, and in new condition.

All returned items must be accompanied by a completed and signed return request authorization form

 

Food Products

Food products shall be in good condition and with adequate date life when leaving our warehouse. No food product will be accepted as a return unless it has been supplied to you in a damaged or deficient condition. In the event of food products reaching you in a damaged or deficient condition, you should notify us immediately and submit written details of the claim within 3 days of receipt of the goods.

 

Backorders

Any item that is out of stock when ordered will be placed on backorder; you will be notified by e-mail of the expected delivery date. Should we receive no response from our e-mail we will assume that you wish to accept the goods on the date as specified. If the delivery date is unacceptable, please respond to our e-mail and we will cancel the backorder and either credit your credit card or if you are an account customer, you will not be invoiced.

 

What can and cannot be returned?

Office Supplies

Unopened, unused office supplies may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 7 days of receipt.

 

Consumable Products

Consumable food and beverage items are not returnable due to health and safety concerns.

 

Chemical & Cleaning products

For health and safety reasons, these products can only be returned if the packaging is unopened and unused. Open containers of hazardous products (damaged) cannot be returned. For the safety of our drivers, spilled liquid, broken containers, or damaged hazardous materials will not be picked up.

 

Ink & Toner

Ink and toner items that have been opened or used in any way are non-returnable. Unopened, unused items may be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 7 days of receipt. Defective/damaged ink and toner may be exchanged only within 30 days of the invoice date. After 30 days, please contact the customer service team for further instructions regarding returns.

 

Headsets

Headphones, headsets, and earbuds are not returnable due to hygiene reasons.

 

Technology & Electronic products   

Technology and consumer electronic products (including but not limited to computers, laptops, tablets, etc.) are all non-returnable unless faulty.

 

Dated Products

Diaries & Wall planners are non-returnable.

 

Office Furniture

All our office furniture is made to order and cannot be cancelled and is non-returnable unless it is reported as faulty.

We would always advise that you obtain wood and fabric samples when making choices, as printed colours are not always accurate.

For damages incurred during delivery or installation, please contact sales@bossdirect.co.uk or telephone 01204 458888 within 24 hours to report the damage. A picture of the damage and the order number are both required. Boss Direct will arrange a replacement of the exact original product.

After 24 hours of receipt of the goods, we will be unable to offer a refund or replacement.

If the product subsequently develops a fault within the warranty time frame, please contact the customer services team on 01204 458888 who will liaise with the supplier to resolve the issue. If the problem/fault is down to manufacturing, the parts will be replaced. If the problem/fault is found to be due to improper use of the product, a charge will apply.

 

PPE

Boss Direct will not be accepting returns of any personal protective equipment (including but not limited to hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, facial tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, and associated dispensers) until further notice. We have seen some customers purchase more than 'normal' volumes of certain products (i.e. toilet tissue, hand sanitisers, paper/hand towel, cleaning products). Like other major retailers around, we will not refund items that are deemed to have been purchased in this manner based on a change of mind after they have been shipped.

Please note: returns that are sent without our prior knowledge and without a return request authorization form are subject to refusal.
