At Boss Direct we want to make it easy for our customers to make the switch to more sustainable products if they are working towards a more eco-friendly workplace. We have seen several of our customers make this shift recently and have been asked to look for either recycled or greener (by this we mean products whose production may reduce waste, conserve energy, be biodegradable, include recycled material, or all the aforementioned) options. In order to make these alternatives as easy to pick as possible we have attached green 'Eco-Friendly' and blue 'Recycled' banners next to items on our website as a guide to help you choose these greener options.
Manufacturers are constantly coming up with new and innovative ways in which to make their products more ecologically sound and we have rounded up a few of our favourites below:
Cheeky Panda
Cheeky Panda saves thousands of trees from being chopped down every year by using bamboo as a renewable alternative. It grows 30x faster, absorbs 35% more carbon, and produces 30% more oxygen than trees making it a perfect replacement. They have also removed plastic packaging from their tissue range making it 100% plastic-free!
Plus, they never test on animals and are vegan, cruelty-free and FSC-certified making them a perfect choice of brand if you are looking for eco-friendly paper products!
Pilot B2P
The Pilot B2P (Bottle to Pen) is made from recycled plastic PET bottles reclaimed from beaches with a minimum of 89% recycled materials. This excludes replaceable parts such as inks and cartridges however the pens are refillable which means less waste as you can keep the same pen and refill it over and over!
This retractable, refillable ballpoint offers great writing comfort with smooth-flowing ink that’s available in black, blue, red, and green. An effective, fun, and highly innovative way to take part in the fight against sea pollution.
Sellotape
Sellotape® Zero Plastic is a plant-based tape made from cellulose film and naturally based glue, both derived from plant-based renewable resources. As well as this it is compostable, and the packaging is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable!
